It had been quite a while since Dana went out alone with intentions of not staying that way. Most of the time, she drove away anyone who came near. It was just habit that every brave soul that dare offered her a drink left empty handed. A unique approach was needed to keep her interested. She saw enough sad attempts both at work and outside of it, so she preferred not to waste time. The surgeon smelled the slight scent of herbs before she noticed the woman get too close.
“You have good eyesight.” Dana nodded as she swung her stool over to face the taller blonde. “It’s been….eventful.” Switching drink hands, she offered her hand out. “Dana Mitchell. Pleased.”
Vanessa grinned as she watched Dana swing around. “I have an eye for pretty things at the least,” she took the woman’s hand and looked her over again, picking up any readings. “Vanessa Foster, the pleasure is mine to meet you.” She gave a nod to the bar tender for a beer to begin with, before she sat down beside Dana.
“So, what do you do for living?” Looking at her, she guessed something with a lot of extra hours of work, something stressful - or at least what she’d consider stressful. She took a sip of the drink and turned her body to face Dana.

So we’ll be having these weekly, depending on what day I get to it.
What you’ve got to do is reblog this post and day you’re active. Any character not active for 3 or more days without notice will be re opened. I don’t really want to do that, you’re all really great :)
[If you are going to be away for a few days or are just generally busy, drop an ask so I don’t open your character prematurely.]
Check: but also, I’m going to look after my sick Nanna in a few days post-operation, so I’ll probably be inactive until she gets to a better health (she’s very traditional and doesn’t have any internet/computers whatsoever)
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: That really narrows it down for me considering how many women wear jeans to the bar. And who is this someone I am apparently starting things with? Or do you not remember that either.
Of course they do, jeans are excellent pieces of clothing. No, I don’t remember, it was a passing conversation that involved a lot of tequila, salt and lemons. I’d be lucky if I can remember the woman’s hair colour.
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: You got me there. Fine you're right, we had a lot of fun. Oh really where did you hear that?

I’m always right. Some pretty bird told me, for life me I forget her name but she looked good in jeans.
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: Leave it to you to break our relationship down to just sex. I was great in bed I'll give you that but I needed more. You're right we did have some fun though.
And leave it to you to boast on your skills, not that you don’t have cause to boast. I know you needed more and you knew I’d never give you that, but I hear that you have something starting up with someone else. And we had a lot of fun.
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: You're on a roll tonight. Are you suggesting that I like to try and "fix" people? Having an emotional connection isn't a bad thing, it's actually something you should try out. See how it feels.
I have an emotional connection with women, just as I had one with you. Erotic emotions count, as to angry ones, mostly the erotic ones though. Admit it, we had some fun.
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: The bar's been treating me well, you know strays have always seem to be attracted me.
It’s your big wide eyes, they scream ‘come, let me help you.’ I’d suggest a more careless attitude, but then where’d all the fun be for you?
Vanessa ran her fingers through her hair and blinked up. The lights weren’t bright but they were brighter than outside. Adjusting her jacket, she blinked until her eyes became used to the light.
A smirk tugged at her lips as she looked around. Quickly her eyes rested on the blond in question. Today had been fairly relaxed, some photos were done for herself and she got to spend time in the local darkroom, developing some of films. Her fingers still had the certain pungent scent of fixer, but she’d buried them in enough water, rosemary, basil and hand lotion for it to become quite faint.
Rolling her shoulders back, she swaggered over to the woman and grinned. “I told you that I usually spot a pretty blonde,” she rolled of her tongue with ease. “Have you had a good evening?”
sarcasticomega asked: See you tonight then.
Definitely.
morgan-richards-deactivated2011 asked: You're hilarious Vanessa, I missed you're amazing sense of humour. I've been good. How have you been sweetheart?
I like to think so. I’m well, been freelancing and what-not. How’s the bar been to you, still getting some weirdo’s and lonely people?
